[The feed starts out pretty tame. Two Garchomps duke it out using a variety of moves ranging from Outrage to Earthquake. The smaller of the two lets out a series of roars and continuously throws himself at Bahamut, but while he does land some decent hits, his hot-headed behavior leads to his downfall. As the fight wears on, Quake ends up getting knocked around by Bahamut, and his attempts to counter do little against his opponent's higher speed.
Eventually, he topples over with a pitiful growl. For the next few moments, he's motionless.
Meanwhile, Bahmut lets out a triumphant roar over his victory. Bigger dragon wins! In his excitement at besting another dragon, Bahamut turns over to his trainer and nearly barrels over Xion, who laughs and tries to pat his head. Good going, Bahamut!
While Riku smirks and heads over to Xion to congratulate her, Quake doesn't seem to share their enthusiasm. He lets out another growl, pushes himself to his feet and trudges ever so slowly over to the two of them. While they're busy basking in their victory, he raises his claws, and once he gets close enough, launches himself onto Bahamut's back with the intent of knocking him over.]
--wah?!
[ Bahamut is alarmed by the sudden weight on him and tries to jerk free, unintentonally shoving Xion to the ground with a roar. His jaws are snapping loudly, tail swishing around wildly while trying to claw at the other dragon to get off. ]
B-Bahamut! [ Panic and worry jumpstarts Xion into a standing position. She watches her dragon struggle and every instinct within her is just screaming to help her Pokemon, and not before long, she takes several steps forward-- ]
Hold up!
[Riku hurries behind her, reaching out for her arm. Quake, however, shoots her a vicious glare, driving his claws into Bahamut's back and clamping down on his neck. Go ahead, Xion. Just try and come closer.]
He's... He's hurting him!
[ Xion is trying to jerk Riku off, but to no avail. Bahamut is roaring even louder, but before long, he's managing to maneuver his neck to take a hard bite on Quake's bicep, accompanied with gnashing sounds. If that isn't enough, Bahamut sends them both to the ground in an attempt to roll the other dragon off of him. ]
And if you get too close, he'll hurt you.
[Quake takes this opportunity to nail Bahamut with a little toxic, spewing acid onto his skin. Bahamut's powerful bite prompts a shrill roar out of Quake, and after delivering a slash along his spines, he releases his grip on Bahamut and springs into the air, landing a few yards away. For the moment, he takes his eyes off of Bahamut and spreads out his arms with a bellowing roar. Then he launches himself forward, unleashing a powerful Outrage. Riku, in the mean time, cringes, watching the two dragons carefully. If only he'd brought Slash with him, then this wouldn't be a problem!
Xion actually doesn't seem to register what Riku just said. She's watching and hoping Bahamut recovers and pulls away or... or something! Bahamut is trying to fight off the debilitating effects of the poison in his system. With a defiant roar, however, Bahamut manages to bring up his own Outrage and charge Quake head on. I'm the faster dragon, buster!]
Riku! We have to stop them! [ Xion's momentarily stopped trying to get Riku to let go of her in favor of pleading now. ]
I'll stop them. You stay back.
[Perhaps foolishly, he lets go of Xion's arm and rushes into the fray, eyes narrow and fists clenched. He keeps his eyes locked on Quake and prepares to fling himself onto his shoulders...
Before he can even reach him, Quake burrows into the ground and vanishes from sight. Seconds later, he emerges right behind Xion and prepares to strike.]
--?!
[ She turns, seeing one of Quake's talons home in on her, and try as Xion might to dodge to the side, he manages to give her a solid hit on the side of her head, followed by the sounds of skin being sliced, Xion hitting the ground with a grunt, and it's then Bahamut cries out one of the angriest roars a Garchomp could emit before going for Quake's neck.
Xion herself is actually still moving, despite the searing pain in her head and the heavy, warm liquid she can feel running down her cheek. She manages into a sitting position, trying to look around and see how the fight's going amidst the dust and raging purple dragons. ]
Xion!
[Bahamut's not the only one seething with rage. The moment she goes down, Riku bolts forward, hurrying to her side. Bahamut's bite stops Quake momentarily, and he lets out a pained screech as the teeth sink into his neck. While Quake thrashes and flails, Riku crouches down by her side, placing a hand on her shoulder.]
Xion, you're bleeding.
[He places a gloved hand over her wound.]
C'mon, forget the fight. We need to get you to a PokéCenter!
[He reaches for his belt with his other hand, feeling around. If he could just get Quake in his Pokéball...]
But we need to stop them!
[ Apparently getting nicked in the head doesn't stop Xion's priorities from being scrambled. Or maybe it made worse? Things have just gotten out of hand so badly, and she wants both Pokemon to stop. Bahamut doesn't let up, applying even more pressure and using his bigger size to grind Quake's body into the earth. The poison is a long forgotten prospect in his head as he's seeing red right now. Better think fast, Riku, Xion's already scrambling to get back up. ]
[Riku looks around frantically, gnashing his teeth. He can't let Xion get hurt again! Her injuries from Terror were bad enough. But he doesn't have Flare. Draco knows ice moves, but why would he help? Phantom's not the sort to get in the way of 'entertainment,' and Flare's back at the room now.
Without warning, Riku rushes out in front of Xion, pulls her off to the side, and then he leaps onto Quake's back with his arms wrapped tightly around his neck. This... probably isn't a good idea in retrospect, as Bahamut's rage may put him in danger even with Quake preoccupied at the moment.
Suddenly, an Aura Sphere whirls through the air, and the feed cuts out.]
[Shortly after the feed, a text appears, courtesy of Phantom:]
so. Riku was gonna brag about how he got all the Kanto badges and how the Elite Four can't send you home but I think he's a little busy right now. heh heh heh.
but do you see what I see? ♥ somebody tell them to pucker up...
when they're not being torn apart by dragons.
[ooc: Video responses will come from Riku and Xion once they've hit the Center. If you wanna do stuff with Phantom before they get patched up, that's cool too. :|b]

i mean who plans on getting attacked by dragons?
but er...no he didn't literally.
it's just a figure of speech for when a guy does something to protect his special lady.
you know like in the fairy tales?
knights in shining armor protecting princesses from dragons and evil witches and stuff like that?
...though in this case i guess you were just a few costumes off of it being literal.
no subject
Oh, now I know what you mean. They did sound like nice stories. Then... Riku really is a hero, then!
no subject
hehe, yup! he sure is!
though, let's be honest here: absolutely nobody is surprised to learn this.
no subject
[ Keyword here: try. ]
They aren't?
no subject
[John is definitely another one of those people that "things just happen" to. Though sometimes it's honestly his own fault.]
well i'm not surprised.
are you?
no subject
[ It's somehow kind of good to know there's a person who can, at least, understand the same predicament. Let's be "get into all the trouble things" buddies! ]
I'd always think Riku is a hero. He's a great friend to have.
no subject
[No trouble shall be left ungotten!]
so are you a friend of his from back home then?
no subject
no subject
it's always nice to have friends from back home here with you.
though making new friends here is just as nice.
no subject
But sometimes, you can't help but still miss some things back home, you know?
no subject
occasionally it would be nice to watch a movie that isn't a pokemon spoof.
[The world he left behind wasn't really that spectacular, to be honest. And from everything he's heard about the game he and his friends were playing, things only get worse.]
no wait i take that back.
there's someONE that i miss from back home more than just sometimes.
no subject
It's hard, isn't it?
no subject
two someones, technically, but i am sure one of them will be back soon.
he's been here three times already, after all.
so it's not as hard when it comes to him. because at least i did get to see him here for a while.
no subject
no subject
what about you then?
have the people you miss shown up here at all?
no subject
It's more like I came here and met everyone I would ever want to meet. If that makes sense.
no subject
are you saying that all your friends were already here when you arrived?
no subject
no subject
that makes a little more sense i guess?
sort of?
[Kingdom Hearts logic, how do you work?]
so were they like...friends that you didn't know you had or something?
no subject
[ Kingdom Hearts logic = implying there really is some sort of logic to this. ]
Not really? I mean, I just needed to see a few of these people. I'd never really contacted them directly until I came to Johto.

no subject
but as long as it all worked out and had a happy ending, i guess that's really all that matters!
no subject
So I'm happy for that. :)
