I guess it does make sense to give them names. I've only got one Pokemon at the moment, though, so I'm not sure I'm really qualified to weigh in, but I'd be surprised if someone managed to be friends with all of their Pokemon. Everybody's different. Then again, this whole business is still a bit strange to me.
