islandshore | 50 - video/action for Olivine;

[The feed clicks on with some radical footage of two teenage boys cruising on waves. Some may recognize them as Sora and Riku, both of whom have forgone their usual attire for swim trunks. Now, at first everything seems fine and dandy, until a particularly gigantic wave sneaks up on them, smothering them and dunking them below the water's surface. A blastoise decked out in shades zips by, trying to contain her laughter. The feed ends momentarily.

Cue another feed with both boys performing noticeably better. Riku looks to the camera and flashes a smug grin. They perform a few more tricks before returning to the shore and addressing the network properly.]

[ the first to formally pop his head in direct veiw of the camera is Sora, shaking out the sea water from his hair. ]

So glad that the snow melted. I mean, I love snow and all, but having it ruin our beach plans wouldn't have been cool.

[In the background, a fairly disgruntled Weavile wanders by, slurping some sort of smoothie. He stops just long enough to address the feed with a fake, stuffy accent.]

Tsk. Frankly, I would have preferred an entire week of snow. This summer heat is simply too much.

[Suddenly Riku regrets bringing an ice type to town. Heaving a sigh, slips into view just a few seconds later, rolling his eyes at his Pokémon.]

Well, at least it's gone now. At any rate, if anyone's hanging around Olivine, Sora and I are setting up camp out here by the shore. If you don't mind some rough waves, feel free to drop by. We're planning on whipping up some barbeque in a bit.

[Those in the area are free to drop by Olivine's beach, where the two KH dorks will be hanging ten, among other things.]

[ but he's making a face and Oshy is plopping down in his lap. the Dewott is nodding in agreement. with Riku. ]

No, you totally do. Just get a pair of floppy ears and a collar, and you're set.

[Cue some more snickering from Zen the Blastoise as she paddles by. Face it, broski. You are totally a dog boy.

Just give Slash a few more moments as he digs through the cooler for some flavoring.]

[ he leans down to mutter something into Oshy's ear.

the otter laughs and complies.

hitting both Slash and Riku with a hydro pump. ]

[The water sends Riku flying backwards and right into a nearby rock. Slash just so happens to drop his snowcone in progress as he takes to the air.

The two shake themselves off, with Riku marching straight towards Sora with an eerie smirk on his face.]

You think you're so smooth, don't you?

And here I was minding my own business and attempting to be courteous.

[Whatever. Riku's gonna go ahead and try tackling Sora while Slash whips up a hail attack.]

[ but Sora is grabbing his Dewott and taking off with a symphony of laughter. YES, YES HE IS REAL SMOOTH RIKU. SO GLAD YOU NOTICED.

[You know what? He's totally going to chase Sora into the water. Yes, even with hail raining down.

Slash sees no reason to pursue, and thus he climbs up on one of the rocks and leans back to watch the display. Go on, boys. Entertain him.]

[ time to test your dodging skills, Riku. Oshy is firing some Water Guns, giving Sora a head start as he grabs the board and paddles further out to sea. mwahahahaha!!! ]

[What? That's totally not fair! One water gun strikes Riku in the back of the head before he finally grabs his board. After that, hepicks up the pace and lets out a whistle.

Zen hears that sound and... oh, is this a stick up? Because she's totally gonna be firing water guns, too.]

THAT'S NOT FAIR. SHE'S GOT BIGGER GUNS!

[ omg. those are canons. mounted on her back. that's not cool, yo. PADDLE, SORA. PADDLE. ]

All's fair in this game, Sora. Better hang tight!

[Riku snickers, paddling right after him...

Except Zen has an idea to make this totally radical. Riku may be her trainer, but you know what? He can handle it, too!

Now she's spewing water at both of them.]

[ Sora doesn't have great mobility on there. one can only imagine it doesn't take more than a few tries before Zen gets him right in the back.

AND OOPS. off the board he goes. ]

[And away Riku goes!

Zen's blast sends him flying straight into Sora, in fact. Talk about embarrassing.]

[ not so much really. because as soon as Sora rolls a bit in the water and surfaces? he laughs. ]

Not so fun when she turns on you, huh?

[ OOPS. DUNKING. ]

[Well, he was gonna talk, but then he got dunked. So, in retaliation, he'll latch onto Sora and drag him down with him.]

[ as if Sora doesn't expect this. he completely does. because he would do the same thing. as Riku pulls him down, Sora takes a deep breath.

tries to tickle his best friend under the water. ]

[O-oh god. Riku should have anticipated this. Instead, he ends up wriggling and trying not to laugh because, ew, saltwater in the mouth.

But he's not going down without a fight! Enjoy an elbow to the gut, buddy.]
