[The feed begins with a series of snapshots. It starts with images of a war-torn battlefield lined with giant crystals, Team Aqua and Magma grunts and hordes of Pokémon and trainers alike.]

This world isn't safe.

[The images shift. New snapshots appear of Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon, taken from a safe distance above, but distinct in that they are indeed giant, glowing monsters.]

What happened last week is proof of that. You may all be content to enjoy a carefree lifestyle, but if it weren't for divine intervention, life as we know it would have ended with a whimper.

Together, we were able to hold off Team Aqua and Magma's forces, but the battle doesn't end there. If you could make a difference in the protection of this world, would you do it?

[The message ends there. About a half hour later, another text appears on the network, this time from a non-anonymous source.]

So, I think we all learned something valuable from that mess down at Tohjo: Don't summon giant lizards and whales to start the apocalypse. God doesn't like it.

There's a lot I could say. It was a busy few days, but if you look past all the legendaries, the explosions, and those cornball teams, there are two things that stick out to me: the weird power up some of our Pokémon got and the Pokémon god himself.

[Case in point? Here's an image of a Mega Sharpedo getting punched in the nose by a Mega Charizard X.]

So, what do you guys think that power was? Did any of you get a straight answer from Arceus? And how about that fairy type?

Hey, if you can do it, that'd be great. The more secure, the better.

Hmm... Could be a bit of both. Metal isn't natural, whereas a lot of fairies tend to have ties to nature. Forests, meadows... So maybe poison's another weakness. Possibly fire.

It varies. Sometimes it's petty theft. Sometimes they poison baked goods. Sometimes they'll set up bombs and try to blow up entire cities...

The general rule of thumb is to expect the worst from a Rocket. They're the region's number one crime syndicate.

Well, no rush to change travel groups. Usually squads are assigned for missions rather than on a day to day basis.

Normally I'd ask to meet one on one, but since I've already spoken to you a few times, I won't make you jump through extra hoops. I'll definitely keep you posted for when we do assign groups, though. Might take some time, since we still gotta do a headcount and all.

That's what I heard from Ren, back when he was still around, but he's the only scientist I know by name. Couldn't tell you about the others.

[Good thing this is text, because the comment on uniforms actually got him to chuckle.]

I hope it's more comfortable. Never did like the look of their get ups, but I guess beggars can't be choosers.

And so far, it's going pretty well. Got a couple potential recruits, someone who may be interested in selling his skills to the Corps, and a new ally located in Pewter. I'm trying to stay cautious just in case, but nobody's been too suspicious, at any rate.

I'm in Goldenrod right now. I don't plan on going anywhere else for a while, unless you'd like to meet somewhere else.

Hopefully I can be of some help to you.

You fought the undead? Like, what? Zombies? Vampires? Ghosts? Vampire zombie ghosts?

On second thought, maybe that last one was pushing it.

But hey, you got spunk. Just make sure you don't go overboard with the flashiness. When dealing with Team Rocket, sometimes it pays to be subtle.

I might be able to bring a few things to the table... I've never worked with a team before, only a partner, but I'm willing to try.

Yep, I can. I'll even try and see if I can make it tough for Porygons and Rotoms as well.

Poison could work, if we possibly can connect it to "decay" in general. And a lot of poison types are like that.

Sounds pretty bad. Though, is that the work of individual members, or is that the work of the whole group? I mean, a few rotten apples can spoil the whole thing.

Metal. The Dark Elf once build its nest in the deepest chamber of a magnetic cave, to ensure that its weakness would not be used against it. That's not the sort of precaution you take against something that merely makes you uncomfortable.

Violet City.

Maybe it's something we're not meant to find out just yet. Then there's the matter of those thugs we fought off. Do you think we'll see more of them in the future?

mostly just zombies! i mean we called them risen but yeah, it was never as super evil grudgingly coll as a vampire zombie ghost would.

Well, no worries. I think I can handle a day trip down there, long as the city doesn't suck me into a black hole like it did last time.

Hmm... So that'd translate over to Steel. I could kinda see it.

[Magic against technology... there's another way you can spin it.

And now that goofy Sylveon is... bounding onto the bed. Riku doesn't seem to notice, but judging by the way it's squatting, it may very well try and pounce.]

What about fire? I've seen stories with forest fairies and stuff, so it's an option, anyway.

Better watch out around next Halloween. Maybe there actually will be vampire zombie ghosts.

No problem. Just gonna have to have a talk with Twilight to nail the specifics.

And I'm okay. Mostly just worn out. Plus, Sora went and broke his arm while I was gone, so I've been having to keep an eye on him.

The whole group's come together in the past, but the bombings tend to be small group efforts.

But they have performed train jackings before, and I've heard horror stories about their science division.

Depends on if Arceus scared them off.

If they're anything like Team Rocket, probably. But let's just hope they take their time. Last thing we need's another giant monster showdown.

I don't think I've met Sora. The person I'm traveling with knows a Sora but that one's a girl.

Does that kind of thing happen a lot? I haven't seen anything like that since I've been here.
