[The feed begins with a series of snapshots. It starts with images of a war-torn battlefield lined with giant crystals, Team Aqua and Magma grunts and hordes of Pokémon and trainers alike.]

This world isn't safe.

[The images shift. New snapshots appear of Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon, taken from a safe distance above, but distinct in that they are indeed giant, glowing monsters.]

What happened last week is proof of that. You may all be content to enjoy a carefree lifestyle, but if it weren't for divine intervention, life as we know it would have ended with a whimper.

Together, we were able to hold off Team Aqua and Magma's forces, but the battle doesn't end there. If you could make a difference in the protection of this world, would you do it?

[The message ends there. About a half hour later, another text appears on the network, this time from a non-anonymous source.]

So, I think we all learned something valuable from that mess down at Tohjo: Don't summon giant lizards and whales to start the apocalypse. God doesn't like it.

There's a lot I could say. It was a busy few days, but if you look past all the legendaries, the explosions, and those cornball teams, there are two things that stick out to me: the weird power up some of our Pokémon got and the Pokémon god himself.

[Case in point? Here's an image of a Mega Sharpedo getting punched in the nose by a Mega Charizard X.]

So, what do you guys think that power was? Did any of you get a straight answer from Arceus? And how about that fairy type?

I'm Red. I know how to handle myself in a fight without Pokemon, and I know how to adjust different skills and strengths to different situations. I don't like to tell this to a lot of people... but back home I handled something called "the Transistor" which basically was a sword with different abilities it based off of different people. So that's where I learned it.

I only have these Pokemon. [And she sends over a roster.] However, I'm working on teaching my Chatot a way to disguise her Sing into something that's not exactly... traditional.

think we can get the giant llama to help us with this too?

It certainly did not appreciate being hit with Firaga, but the same can be said of many monsters, weak to Fire or not...

Based on what I observed from Fortran's attempts, it depends on the security. But Porygons do seem to handle code more intuitively than I can with a keyboard.

Poison, steel and possibly dark, if Fairy is our "light". Or Fairy can be strong against Dark.

Oh, just got stuck there for a few months because my friends kept coming and going.

That's the thing about Violet: it's so close to New Bark that it's easy to get stuck there, like you've been sucked into a vacuum. Goldenrod's almost as bad, but at least it's a big city.

[WHOMP! The Sylveon, tired of being ignored, slams into Riku's back, sending him toppling over like a tree, while the 'Gear clatters to the ground.

...Ugh. Well, I know one thing for sure. Fairy pounces are super effective. Ugh, my back...

This Sora's a guy. Spiky hair, always grinning, tends to make friends with everything that moves...

Kinda tough to miss him. Especially with his balloon pants.

It happens more often than it should. The Rockets are just smart enough to space out their attacks. Build a false sense of security before they blow up the next city.

Probably comes from being a program himself. Bet it's even easier to hack with something like a Porygon-Z...

Hmm, fairy could be weak to dark and super effective, though. Kinda like how dragon's weak to itself.

I have a friend who would burst a blood vessel at balloon pants.

And no worries. I'm sure you'll do great.

Combat skills? Awesome. Some of the Rockets have this habit of siccing their teams on trainers, so being able to hold your own in a fight is a big plus. And a magic sword? Can't be that much stranger than Keyblades and talking unicorns. Did the sword have a bunch of different souls inside? You don't have to elaborate if you don't want to.

That's a pretty solid team so far. So, what's the plan with your Chatot?

Not smart enough to not do it in the first place, I see.

Maybe if we bribe him with enough snacks. I know he's a big fan of sandwiches.

...Yes. Including my boyfriend. [MOVING ON.] Sing is too recognizable across the species, I've noticed. However, Chatot can mimic anything so I've been teaching her to mix Sing and other songs together so it's not recognizable. Less of a chance for people to react against it.

I'm pleased to hear that you've gotten a few bites. That's the difficult thing, isn't it? We need to boost our numbers, but we need to be so careful about how we go about recruiting people...mind you, at least if we get any sneaky Team Rocket members trying to get in, I should be able to pick them!

No, but not for lack of trying. She's kept safe mostly because it would take something equivalent to a boulder striking her to get her to actually break a limb.

I'd suggest getting Sora some heavy exercise so you have to worry less, but frankly he'd probably just turn any newfound strength he got into making your life more difficult.

Seriously though, that was noble of him but... what exactly was he saving them from and how did it break his arm? I need to know how much I should feel bad for him and how much I should be shaking my head.

Well, at least you now know what sort of moves it can use in battle. Is your spine still in one piece?

Yeah. Fortran's a Porygon-Z and it's doing better than when its a Porygon. Even show me some weak points I overlooked or didn't notice in my projects.

A mutual weakness. That would actually be interesting to deal with, because we know about dragons.

A black Charizard. Got it. It sounds like she'll stand out.
