Hmm... Not that I can tell. I mean, a few people might be. The trainers on the routes, some of the Gym Leaders. When I was still starting out, a lot of people wound up waiting until their teams were massively overpowered before collecting badges, which makes fights... a bit one-sided.

But I don't think most people will notice if you're from out of town, especially once you acclimate It's all so routine that they probably expect it, anyway.
