[It's been months since they last talked. Months since they'd even seen each other. And with Terra wide awake now, Riku decides enough is enough and shoots Ven a message via PokéGear.
But the ID no longer exists. Riku instantly feels the weight of a thousand boulders rolling over him.
He tries again to no avail. And again. Maybe he shouldn't be surprised. But still, for one of his most trusted friends to leave without even a chance to hang out for one last time...
There's a reason why he's writing this message in text instead of video.]
Ven's gone.
I don't know how many friends he actually made here, but I figured I'd pass the message along. It's probably what he'd want, right? And it's not like this place ever gives people a chance to say goodbye. Why change things now?
You'd think that after every other disappearance we'd all be used to it, but it never gets easier. Not with the people who really matter. But Kairi's left about a million times now, and I've lost plenty of other friends. Guess it was only a matter of time before he waltzed off, too.
Just... let me know if you wound up with any of his Pokémon, okay? Otherwise, I'll be around.
And no, nothing's wrong.

yeah
it's different when it's someone from home...
i dunno if you ever talked to him, but my dad's here in johto. he was here once before though, and he was from before i was even born.
not to get all sappy-whiny but jesus christ that was hard to deal with
so yeah
time differences... rough.

[Text]
yeah
after awhile
... it didn't exactly happen how i wanted it to.
i'll put it that way.
[She can still remember how ashamed she'd been.]
do you remember that time when things got real foggy and all those ghost pokemon were making people hallucinate??
you were here back then, right?
[Text]
Not my fondest memory.
[Text]
right
well...
if you remember how my name went out on a police report afterwards...
that's how he found out
[Text]
I take it that things were kind of rocky from there.
[Text]
yeah well... i guess they would've been
but the moment i confessed who i actually was to him, he stopped replying and then a month later he disappeared
that was a tough christmas
[Text]
Things have at least gotten better since then, right?
[Text]
yeah much better, the next time he came back he was from my time and knew who i was
so yeah things are much better, can't complain on that front
but anyway back to the original topic... i hope everything works out ok for you. maybe if SHE comes back again she'll be able to remember the important stuff too
