03 - video;

[The video focuses on a small group of four Pokemon. Among them are a Nidorino, Haunter, Pidgeot, and an Ivysaur.

The video then switches to Riku, who's looking pretty smug.]

Looks like Highwind's finally reached his final stage, and the others can't be too far behind. Still, Slacker and Phantom are almost at the same level, and they haven't evolved yet. At this rate I'm starting to think they're not going to evolve just by training.

So I guess what I'm trying to ask is this: Anyone know how to evolve a Nidorino and a Haunter?

[And now she's turning away from the camera for a bit!]

Did you hear that, Elisa? That's what you're going to be!

Gastly~!

[And back to Riku!]

What are Haunters like?

[identity profile] islandshore.livejournal.com 2010-08-05 05:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Right.

[...Ven, you dork.]

Still, wonder if any other Pokemon evolve that way.

[Multiple ways, that is.]

... Still not exactly a fighter. He only battles because I tell him to.

[identity profile] islandshore.livejournal.com 2010-08-05 05:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Around level 36.

[Ohi, Pidgeotto. Highwind peeers over Riku's shoulder for a minute and then huffs. He's so above Pidgeottos now.]

[identity profile] islandshore.livejournal.com 2010-08-05 05:54 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, they're--

[Phantom hovers over Riku's head and gives him a hair ruffle before laughing all quietly and creepily.

...And then he sticks his tongue out.]

...A handful.

[Sigh. Time to smooth his hair out.]

[jerks his thumb toward Komi the Pidgeotto]

Guess she's got a ways to go, then.

[Komi just fluffs her feathers at the camera with a huff of her own. She is so much more mature than Pidgeots]

You can't fault him for loyalty.

[identity profile] freshbreeze.livejournal.com 2010-08-05 06:51 pm (UTC)(link)
[He's always gonna be a dork]

I bet some of them have to...Eevee couldn't be the only one.

[identity profile] islandshore.livejournal.com 2010-08-06 06:05 am (UTC)(link)
Just keep training, and she'll evolve sooner or later.

[Eyeroll from Highwind here. Evolution's inflated his ego.]

[personal profile] bakaitoukid 2010-08-06 06:06 am (UTC)(link)
Some day, yeah.

[Komi doesn't acknowledge it, opting to turn back to her wings and preen them instead]

[identity profile] islandshore.livejournal.com 2010-08-06 06:07 am (UTC)(link)
Well, I know others evolve by stones, but this is the first I've heard of different stones working on the same Pokemon.

[identity profile] freshbreeze.livejournal.com 2010-08-06 06:21 am (UTC)(link)
There're losta different kinds of pokemon, right? It'd be weird if Eevee was the only one like that.

[ video ]

[identity profile] islandshore.livejournal.com 2010-08-06 06:32 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, that's true. He's put up with a lot.

[ video ]

[identity profile] yattagarasu.livejournal.com 2010-08-06 06:46 am (UTC)(link)
So he's more of a Trooper than a Slacker, huh?

[identity profile] bravegreen.livejournal.com 2010-08-06 07:49 am (UTC)(link)
...Oh. [She glances at Elisa, who merely spins its head in a circle, grinning all the while.]

Well... Elisa has always been pretty good, so maybe she'll stay that way when she evolves?

[identity profile] islandshore.livejournal.com 2010-08-08 07:16 pm (UTC)(link)
Weird, but not impossible.

[ video ]

[identity profile] islandshore.livejournal.com 2010-08-08 07:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I guess so, but that doesn't really fit him. I mean, c'mon. Just look at him.

[The camera focuses on Slacker, in all his purple, spiky glory and then back to Riku.]

[identity profile] islandshore.livejournal.com 2010-08-08 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
Just be prepared to deal with the size issues.

[After all, that's a 5-foot-birdy, give or take an inch.]

video]

[personal profile] bakaitoukid 2010-08-08 07:22 pm (UTC)(link)
He doesn't look that big.

[identity profile] islandshore.livejournal.com 2010-08-08 07:25 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe not, but I doubt you'd want a five-foot bird using you as a perch.

[Not to mention having 87 pounds on your back/shoulders is uncomfortable.]

[identity profile] islandshore.livejournal.com 2010-08-08 07:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe. He's always been trouble, anyway.

[personal profile] bakaitoukid 2010-08-08 07:29 pm (UTC)(link)
[he turns and raises an eyebrow at Komi]

I think she stopped using my head as a perch when she evolved into Pidgeotto.

[identity profile] islandshore.livejournal.com 2010-08-08 07:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Wait. She used your head?

[Now that just sounds silly.]

[personal profile] bakaitoukid 2010-08-08 07:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[she thought his hair was a nest 8(]

... yes.

[identity profile] freshbreeze.livejournal.com 2010-08-08 08:31 pm (UTC)(link)
I guess that's true...

[And now he'll wonder if that's why Eevee is "rare"]
