islandshore: (... let's not go there)
[The transmission starts with a VERY close up image of a disgruntled Ivysaur. From behind, Riku can be heard muttering something about evolving, to which the Ivysaur yawns and looks to the side.

Afterwards, Riku scoops up the Pokegear with a sigh.]

Alright, I think I've seen enough... Guess I'm stuck with an Ivysaur that won't evolve.

I think I'd be better off trading her at this rate. I can't do anything right now, since I'm trying to meet up with Sora, but if there's anyone who's interested, just let me know. I'm mostly looking for a Sneasel or a Charmander, but if there's something else you think is worth it, go ahead. Vine's level 32, so she's already got decent stats.

[The video focuses on a small group of four Pokemon. Among them are a Nidorino, Haunter, Pidgeot, and an Ivysaur.

The video then switches to Riku, who's looking pretty smug.]

Looks like Highwind's finally reached his final stage, and the others can't be too far behind. Still, Slacker and Phantom are almost at the same level, and they haven't evolved yet. At this rate I'm starting to think they're not going to evolve just by training.

So I guess what I'm trying to ask is this: Anyone know how to evolve a Nidorino and a Haunter?
islandshore: (startled)
[The video begins with Riku standing towards the edge of route 31, just a couple of minutes away from Violet City. Oddly enough, he looks a bit hesitant before something growls in the background. Before long, something purple charges at him, and Riku quickly moves out of the way, only for the Pokemon-- a Nidorino, by the looks of it, to charge yet again.

This continues for a few moments until Riku sends out his Pidgeotto, which promptly begins to use Sand Attack to slow it down. With Slacker momentarily distracted, Riku sends him back into his Pokeball before the video cuts off.

A few minutes later, it's back on, and no Pokemon are in sight. Riku shakes his head, brushing back some of his hair before he speaks--]

I've got a problem. Ever since Slacker evolved, he's been attacking anything that moves. I don't know what's gotten into him.

[He crosses his arms.]

Something tells me this isn't how evolution's supposed to work. So what's the big deal? He wasn't like this before.
