islandshore: (Wow you're dense)
[The feed begins with a rather unusual shot. Namely, the tail end of a very black Charizard... squeezing herself underneath a bed. Or rather, trying and failing miserably.

There's an exasperated sigh as the camera turns to Riku.]

Anyone got tips for dealing with a Pokémon that has serious self-esteem issues? Cinder's always been timid, but ever since she's evolved, she's been trying to bury herself under my bed. And no amount of talking to her's convinced her to get out.

Grooogh... Grrarrghhhh!

[That'd be said Charizard, squirming, tail thumping against the floor. No, she doesn't wanna come out! Now she looks even less like Flare than before, and that's bad!

Riku promptly slaps his palm over his face. There's some chuckling from off camera soon after.]

I cood try and find Frrrr... Fyyy... Sigh, Farare, I suppose. We did have urgent business, anyway.

Yeah. I was getting there.

[Turning the camera away from the bed, the cameramon follows Riku closer to the doorway.]

So, while I wait for Flare to get his butt over here, there's something else I need to talk about. Well, me and my team. See, the other day, they up and decided that they want to be responsible parents. So, if you've ever bought an egg from me, could you at least tell me how the Pokémon are doing? If you can bring them on camera, even better.

After one of Flare's eggs hatched small, I just want to check in. Not just because of health, either; I'd love to hear how they're doing, period.

[And with that, he ends the feed. Time to try dragging out a seven-foot dragon before she breaks his bed... Sigh.]
islandshore: (... let's not go there)
[The feed begins with a shot of... eggs. Eggs lining the floor, gathered in corners, against walls, in piles.

Some big, some small. As the camera pans around the room, viewers can find the following types of eggs. There are forty in total.

Finally, Riku turns the camera towards himself, heaving an airy sigh.]

Okay, looks like my Pokémon went overboard again, so I've got a huge egg batch for sale. Every egg sold will guarantee more money towards the Training Center's grand opening. So, if you see something that catches your eye, just let me know, and we can arrange something.

I've got Scyther, Aerodactyl, Deino, Dratini, Swablu, Gible, Squirtle, Snivy, Drilbur, Pichu, Emolga... [He pauses to catch his breath, turning towards the eggs again.]

Shinx, Axew, Larvitar, Timburr, Zorua, and Riolu. They all come with egg moves. Some with complete movesets from the start, so if you're looking for powerhouse Pokémon, I've got you covered.

[He stumbles across the floor, nudging some eggs outta the way as he slips into the hall.]

With that said, I'm still looking for some more staff at the Center. Especially Pokémon caretakers. Bonus points if you can handle temperamental dinosaurs. If you want more details, just let me know. I'll go ahead and attach some information on the Center for good measure.

[And with that, the feed ends with a click.]

Training Center Information

[Once he's finished his announcement, Riku will spend some time cleaning up his business, making sure the eggs are all in order, checking in on his friends, and then he'll step outside with his Charizard in tow to set up more posters.

Folks around Celadon are free to bump into him. The posters this time around include information on the egg sale, and once he's made a full loop around the city, he'll stick by the porch of his business and relax. There's a sign at the top of the TC that reads "COMING SOON!"]

[ooc: There are still eggs available! Note that the ones labeled Pikachu are actually Pichu. Derp.]
islandshore: (Rival Riku wants to battle!)
[Today's broadcast is brought to you by Rotom-cam, courtesy of Surge, who quietly Vrrrrms as the doors to Azaleas gym open. There's a nice shot of Riku and his big ol' Charizard from behind as he storms into the gym, poised and eager to challenge anyone who crosses his path.

He looks over to Flare with a smirk.]

Just remember, Flare. Bring them down before there's a chance to fight back. I give it five minutes, tops.

[Flare grunts, glancing around the gym with a rather bored expression. After a brief pause, he nods, and the two make their way through the gym and battle the various trainers in the way of Bugsy. The battles fly by fast; Flare one-shots every Pokémon before they have a chance to strike. Naturally, Surge records all of this from pleasing angles so Riku has something to boast about.

But, soon enough, he reaches Bugsy, who looks surprisingly calm, given the circumstances. It's quite the contrast from Whitney, really.]

Ready to go down?

[He shakes his head.]

Your Charizard's pretty impressive, but don't think I'll go easy on you. I'm an expert when it comes to Bug Pokémon.

We'll just see about that.

Cut for the easiest Gym battle ever )

[In the end, Bugsy manages to stay calm in spite of his embarrassing defeat, and Riku obtains the Hive Badge and the U-turn TM. With that, he'll slowly head out of the gym with Flare in tow. People are free to spot him in the gym or outside, as later on he'll be chilling by the Pokémon Center. Once there, he'll finally speak into the Gear.]

So, we finally made it to Azalea. About time, too. And, to tell you the truth, I don't mind sticking around here for a bit. It's Violet I'm not looking forward to. Worst city in Johto, I swear.

[He shakes his head.]

Anyway, I've got a few Riolu eggs to get rid of, plus a few others in the PC. If anyone wants my last Charmander and Totodile eggs, just let me know. At this point, I'll sell them at a discount.

[ooc: So, I'm finally setting up the post for those eggs I mentioned. Info here!]
islandshore: (startled)
[Early in the morning, Riku's PokéGear clicks on, providing a lovely view of his room. Fast asleep on the bed is Riku with an Eevee on his head and a Rilo using his chest as a pillow. Next to the bed, curled up in a corner is his Charizard, Flare, quietly snoozing with his tail curled around him. The feed moves around a bit until a Hauner's face takes up the entire screen for a split second.

However, this doesn't last long; the Gear's lowered down on some hard surface with the camera focused on a baby Skarmory, a big ol' Feraligatr and, soon enough, Phantom.

Cut for silly Pokémon antics )

[A few hours later, Riku starts up another feed. By then, his Pokémon are out and about again, although Phantom's nowhere in sight.]

I swear, sometimes ghost Pokémon can be a real handful. Even when I try to keep Phantom in his ball, he manages to get out somehow.

[A beat.]

Sorry if he woke anyone up; next time I'll put him in the PC before I go to bed.

[He sighs and shakes his head, turning the camera towards a pile of eggs.]

Anyway, if anyone's interested, I've still got Charmander and Totodile eggs I need to sell. I'd be willing to trade them for a Scyther or Sneasel, maybe some kind of dragon type. Mainly, I'm trying to get them sold before I leave town, especially since I need to go back and get the Hive Badge.

[The video focuses back on Riku.]

If you want one, just let me know. You don't have to be in Goldenrod to buy them; if you're somewhere else, I'll just send Highwind.

[ooc: The first part of the post occurs very early in the morning. Maybe at 2 or 3 AM. The second part takes place at much more reasonable hours; maybe around 7.

Feel free to respond to the Pokémon or Riku-- I'm also cool with others in the inn overhearing the ruckus; just about anything goes.]
islandshore: (startled)
[Today, Riku's decided to head out towards the Daycare to check up on the Charmander and Totodile eggs he's been planning to sell. Joining him is his new Riolu, who curiously looks around at all the snow while Flare, his Charmeleon, stomps around, occasionally looking up at the sky and swishing his tail.]

Oh, c'mon. We can train in a bit. I just want to fetch the eggs real--

Rrrah!

[The Riolu chimes in with some barking, looking at some nearby grass. Training!]

Don't even think about it. You're not at the right level to battle on your own. Now, c'mon.

[He continues towards the Daycare with his Riolu at his side, but Flare doesn't seem to care. Instead, he wanders off into some grass and starts spewing flames. Eventually, an angry Drowzee appears, hitting the Charmeleon with some psychic attacks. However, there's a huge level gap between the two, and Flare is barely phased by the attack. Instead, he retaliates with a slash attack and roars. Before long, he's defeated the Drowzee and starts to glow.

His roars get louder and deeper as he increases in size, eventually sounding something like this. After that, the glow fades, revealing a newly evolved Charizard, and a big one at that.]

Heh, so that's why you were in a hurry.

[A little bit later, the video feed starts up again, this time inside the Daycare.]

A while back, I mentioned breeding some Charmander eggs. Well, I've got them now. If anyone's interested, I'll be selling them for about 10,000. I've also got a few Totodile eggs to go around. Just let me know if you want one, and I can send Highwind over with the eggs--

[There's a grunt in the background.]

Or I guess Flare could handle it.
islandshore: (snap)
So here is the egg list for the breeding con! There is no real limit except that I'd rather not have more than one rare!mon per char, meaning the dragons, larvesta, and larvitars are limited to one per char.

MONSTER LIST... )
