PGC filer;

Lightning and Hope are gone, which leaves us without leaders. That also cuts our numbers down to ten.

So, my question for your guys is "what next?" I don't think we should disband; just a quick look at the network will show that goons like Cobra are still at large. Still, we're gonna need some structural changes. New leaders, possibly new squads, and, more importantly, new members.

I guess I just want to know what you think. I don't know every one of you personally, but the PGC is supposed to be a team, so everyone should have a chance at giving feedback. I think if we sort out our strengths and weaknesses, that could help us with restructuring. It might be better to have multiple leaders so that if anyone disappears, there's people to fall back on. Maybe each squad can have one, beats me.

I'm gonna throw up an anonymous message in a sec to see about gathering newbies, though. If you've got friends you'd like to recommend, might as well bring them up now.

[Shortly after the PGC message pops up, a second message appears:]

Anonymous;

What does this world mean to you? Do you think it's something worth protecting, or would you rather sit on the sidelines and watch it burn? This place is more than sunshine and Pokémon battles. If given the choice to make a difference, would you take it?

[He remembers Lightning doing something like this before. He'll just have to keep his fingers crossed that it works.]

Ren did?

Yeah, I'd love to. I take it you're the leader now that Lightning's not here anymore?

Also, if we're talking about recommendations, I can think of a couple. Most of my comrades -- Naruto, Yondaime-sama, and Neji. Neji doesn't have much in the way of a strong team, though. Dave Strider and John Egbert both have really powerful Pokémon teams -- Dave has combat experience, too.

I'll see what I can do.

So what kind of missions do you have in mind? Sabotage? Assassination's kind of a moot point in this place...

I'll need a list of everyone we've got. Strengths and weaknesses, special skills, all of that. The sooner I have an idea of our forces, the sooner I can build teams.

I'm in Goldenrod right now, so I can be in Ecruteak in a few hours to check it out myself.

You mentioned Squad 1 before -- how many people have you been putting in a squad?

I'll have to get in touch with them myself then. A week or two maybe, to give other people the chance to jump in if they plan to. I'm assuming there's a filtered channel specifically to reach the PGC?

I know Ren, Katara, and Atsuro. You've already got a basis of four people to a squad, which is the perfect size. One person should be designated the leader of each squad; the person who can be contacted the most easily. Like a captain, almost. But four is a good number; that way if you need to cover twice as much distance, one person won't be on their own. I'll work to get a fourth person for my squad.

Eventually we've got to get more members, then divide both regions into "zones" for each squad to look after. Three squads isn't enough for that.

Great. Teleport's not that expensive, so if people have the proper Pokémon, they can pick it up for cheap. I have five myself who can use Teleport

Is there some kind of organized training set up? If we're going to have squads, they'll have to work together as a team.

Maybe the most important question is what's the pay? If you want people to stick around and dedicate that much time to staying in a particular area, they'll have to be compensated somehow.

That's definitely a must. You can't just throw rookies into combat and hope they'll just be lucky enough to figure out how to be a team.

Money is a good incentive. TMs or Pokémon themselves could be another option. It depends on what your end goal is. Rockets steal Pokémon, don't they? What if we stole them back?
[Finders-keepers.]

Maka? Never heard of her. No, wait --

[A few minutes later, she texts an addition:] She bought a Ponyta off me last April. That's all I know.

It's your call. Just don't expect people to work for free, especially if we're figuring on them being stationed in particular areas for extended periods of time.

I'll give you some time to get new folks in, then I can send out a message over the filter to get more information. Once they've had a chance to settle into the idea.

Assuming you're looking for that kind of help. I don't want to just barge in here and start taking control of a group I just joined.

You got it. I'll send something out in about a week. Keep me posted.

And Riku? Thanks.

[For what, she won't elaborate on, but it's for giving her something to do.]
