[Well, he probably should've seen this coming. After last year's turn out, it's no wonder Clair opted for another prom. And, well, after getting nailed on the head by at least three of those invite balls, Riku appears onscreen in what looks like a kitchen, leaning back against a counter.]

So, I know everyone's getting amped up for the prom, and I can't really blame you guys. Tohjo's a pretty sweet resort, but something about it still bugs me. That place is supposed to to be the Elite Four's private getaway, and we haven't even seen them over the past few years, let alone heard from them.

[He narrows his eyes, shifting his position against the counter.]

Gotta wonder what their deal is. Supposedly, they're the toughest trainers out there, but ever since I came here, they've been MIA. No challenges and no explanation, but the locals talk about them like they're these big-time celebrities.

[He waves one of his hands.]

Maybe this year will be different. Beats me, but I guess if anyone wants to hang out during the party, we can work something out. That's what parties are for, right? Not fussing over battles that might not even happen...

[Sigh. With that all said, he'll switch to a private channel.]

Heads up. I know the timing's kind of bad, I figure we won't have a better chance then this. Sometime during the party, we need to meet up and touch base. It's been a while since the incident down in Olivine, but I doubt the Rockets will stay quiet for long.

If you're worried about getting caught, don't be: the place is huge, and I'm sure almost everyone will be too busy with the party to consider tracking us down. But just for added security, we can pick a secluded spot and talk there.

[When Sora kisses him, Riku lets out a muffled gasp, like a yelp crossed with a gasp. Hardly flattering, and definitely not romantic. When Sora lets go, his face crinkles up like a raisin. He raises his index finger, tries to think up a response... and then Sora struts off.

So what does Riku do? Rush right after him. Better think fast, Sora, or you may end up tackled by this muscle tree.]

[ NOPE! SORRY! TOO BUSY BASKING IN HIS VICTOLI. ]

[Then you better watch out. You better not cry. You better not pout, and here's why:

[ ehehehe. there is no fighting back, Riku. look at at that smug look on Sora's face. he knows it too. ]

So, Sora is seriously just gonna lie there and smile. He's not even gonna squirm?

At first, Riku just stares at him, eyes slightly narrowed.]

[He'll probably stay there for around five minutes, and if Sora doesn't budge, then hoo boy. Riku's not sure he can wait here all day.]

[ laughing too. Sora's just... well he's up to something. how long can you hold out there. ]

[He's going to try. He's going to try for that five minute mark...

And once five minutes hits he growls, rubbing at his temple.]

Okay, look. How long are you gonna keep this up?

[ yeah... had kind of been waiting for Riku to take an arm away. because here Sora goes, using what leverage he can to push off and change their positions. ]

[One move, and Riku's pride crumbles into itty bitty pieces that roll to the floor. When he's pushed, he lets out a small yelp, and when he's pinned to the floor, his eyes go from wide to narrow, face stiffening into a deadpan glare.]

Very funny, Sora. So what are you gonna do now?

[Because it's very tempting to try and push back. Very, very tempting.]

[ Sora just snuggles on in. not really holding Riku down, but he's still got that impish smirk. are ya really gonna try to knock him off when he's been so nice? ]

You'll see.

[Wait, so now Sora's snuggling? This has to have a catch. He's gotta be planning something here.

But uh, Riku's not pushing him away. Instead, he's watching Sora with a raised eyebrow.]

Should I be afraid?

[ yes, yes he is snuggling. as much as Sora, as a teenage boy, will admit to snuggling. ]

Maaaaaybe.

[ a grin. ]

What am I, your pillow?

[SIGH. He still won't push Sora away, but there's gotta be something he can do before the remaining bits of his dignity fizzle away.

This wouldn't be so bad if they weren't on a cold, hard floor.]

Uh, duh?

[ now Sora's looking at Riku, rolling his eyes. don't miss the pink dusting his cheeks as he goes on, though. ]

Being my pillow falls under the responsibilities of being my boyfriend. It's my right to claim it, mhmmm.

[ he got out the 'b' word without stuttering. awesome. ]

[...Oh. Well, Sora, he sure wasn't expecting that. But you know what? He won't argue. That'd just be silly, given the circumstances. He'll just shake his head, cracking a half-smile.]

Oh? Then you got a checklist of all the things I'm supposed to do?

[He'll just have to keep a mental note. This isn't over yet, Sora. He's just gonna bide his time. Wait for the perfect moment to strike back.]

A checklist...

[ making a face. ]

Still working on it. You'll get it eventually.

I'll wait as long as it takes...

[His lips curl into a wide smirk. There's a certain way he can punctuate this to give it an added punch, but is it worth the blow to his dignity?

You know what? Anything's worth it for the look on Sora's face, so a second or two later, he adds:]

Pumpkin.

[...Okay, that sounded terrible, but he's gotta keep a straight face. This'll teach Sora to call him "Foofyku".]

Huh!?

[ that makes Sora shoot straight up, face all red. WHAT DID YOU JUST CALL HIM? RIKU ARE YOU SERIOUS!? ]
