[Now where's Riku been amidst all this chaos?
He's been... in various locations over the past few weeks. Between heading out to Union Cave to get Demyx's Onix to getting caught up in the fog, things haven't been particularly dull, much less pleasant for Riku, and it shows. Right now, he's close to the Pokémart in Violet City, sitting with one hand pressed against his head. His Haunter can be seen in the background, hovering around with a shiny new Rotom, but Riku doesn't give them a passing glance.
His mind's too wrapped around his nightmare visions. Seeing his best friends abandon him-- replace him. There's a reason he hasn't touched his Gear in a while. However, he doesn't say a word about it.
Instead, he groans, muttering something under his breath...]
Can't get it out of my head now. It's been months...
[Shaking his head, Riku finally looks down at the Pokégear.]
What's it like, past Azalea Town? I only got to see the forest.

I've been keeping it in my bag all this time. Might not be the same, but it's the best I can do.
Unless you want Slacker to sit on it, that is.

[Puddles bleats at Sora in response. trainer is right, he'd probably just try to eat the egg.]

[reaches over and pokes at the egg in Riku's arms curiously.]

[flaps his arms wildly, trying to squirm out of Riku's grip. nooooo, no noogies!]

[NEVARRRR. He's been meaning to do this for a while.]

[BUT HIS HAIR, MAN. HIS HAIR. YOU'RE GONNA MESS IT UP.]

Is that music (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nKieCayv0_4)? Why yes, yes it is. Followed by the sound of cracking.]

[DO YOU HEAR THAT, RIKU. THAT CRACKING NOISE IS SORA'S SKULL, YOU'VE KILLED HIM WITH NOOGIES.]

He doesn't even have time to react, as a totodile hops out of the shell and clamps down on the top of his head.]

[tries to pry those mighty jaws off of Riku's poor head-- yeah, that's probably ten times worse than a million noogies.]
[action]
At least, until it jumps up and tries to nip at Sora!]
[action]
[Sora tries to protect his head by covering it with his arms-- at least, until Puddles suddenly comes charging from behind, valiantly putting himself between the Totodile and trainer. Puddles used Tackle!]

Its eyes tear up, and it starts bawling, causing Riku to rush over to the little croc.]

Puddles... that was probably a little too harsh.
[action]
After a bit of hesitation, Riku picks up the 'dile. It's... better than nothing?]

[Sora steps closer, bending a little so he's at the Totodile's level. he doesn't know how to stop a baby Pokémon's crying, but he does know how to comfort.]
Hey, it's okay... Puddles is sorry he tackled you. Aren't you, Puddles?
[action]
Riku... still isn't sure what to say.]
[action]
You probably shouldn't bite people like that though, okay? It hurts, just like getting hit like you did hurt.

Just save the biting for battles.

... Think I'll just stick with Jaws.

It's a good name! It suits him.
