08 - video/action for those on Route 32;

[Back and forth in the pixelated grass, Riku's keeping his eyes peeled for the notorious MISSINGNO. Even as the eerie music plays on infinite loop, he doesn't look quite as phased as others.

In truth, he's keeping any and all fear to himself. He has to stay strong and, more importantly, these glitches need to be stopped.

That's why, when a regular MISSINGNO. appears, he tosses a Pokéball, sending out Jaws, who looks, well...]



[Different would be putting it lightly.

A battle ensues, with Jaws blasting water attacks at the MISSINGNO., only to be hit by water gun, water gun... and sky attack. Eventually, the MISSINGNO. flees, and Jaws returns to his Pokéball.

Riku continues along the route, though, keeping his eyes peeled for more, until--



Riku sends out Jaws again, but this time he doesn't move an inch, as the infernal cry continues for several moments.

Then the feed cuts off. Ten minutes later, the video picks up again, this time without any Pokémon in sight.]

I don't know what their deal is. Even if you do try to take care of them, they flee before you can finish them off. Anyone try catching them yet?

They just keep coming, don't they?

[Sora holds up his hand to show Riku-- he'd tried to punch a blocky Missingno., and there are still pixels dripping from his hand as if he'd tried to punch a blob of Jello.]

Well, I wasn't about to send Dapper out to take care of it! Have you seen him, Riku? He's terrifying.

[... ... and with the next random Pokémon that pops up-- though not a MissingNo.-- Sora takes out Dapper's pokéball and gives it a toss. Dapper pops out of the pokéball and makes a noise that sounds an awful lot like the last computer Sora tried using at school.]



[he just hovers in mid-air, not moving, not blinking; his wings aren't even flapping. it's like someone took a pixelated, paper Beedrill and somehow tacked it to the air.]

Not sure if we're supposed to catch these things if they're the ones causing this.

But what better way to fight them than to use their own against them? Besides, if someone caught one of these things, then they might be able to figure out why this is happening.

I don't think this kind of thing happens often here, right? People keep talking about pixels, and calling those things glitches.

Strange things have happened before, but nothing like this. The whole world's changed now, even the people and Pokémon.

Something must've happened, whether it was caused by those things or not... I don't think we should fool around with them too much. It could make things worse if we tried to contain them.

Then what should we do? Keep fighting them?

And, while we're at it, should we head back to Violet or keep going. The routes seem a lot shorter now; we could probably go just about anywhere at this rate.

What I don't get is why that glitch caused Jaws to freeze up. Sure, the cry was loud, but so what?
