[Early in the morning, a feed opens with Riku on the move. He looks quite smug, as he goes around with Flare the Charizard and the rest of his team.

This video is courtesy of Blade the Scizor, who awkwardly fumbles the 'Gear between her pincers as they search the beach.]

So, I heard that some strange Pokémon are popping up now. Well, don't worry. Think I can teach them a thing or two.

[After all, Flare's a level 100 fire type. Bugs are weak to flames. It's a fool-proof plan, isn't it?

And, wouldn't you know? There's one of those Shedinjas right now!]

C'mon, Flare! Let's take care of this pest.

[Flare grunts and prepares to attack, when the Shedinja turns and flees. Riku puts his hand on his hip and glares at the little bugger.]

Don't just sit there! You have to---

[Before he can finish his sentence, Riku stumbles and falls back onto the ground. Immediately, Blade drops the 'Gear, rushing right over to him.]

Shriiiiiiiiii!

[The feed ends for a few minutes before starting up again with a crowd of Pokémon shoving their way on camera, starting with Riku's Scizor, who shrieks and squeals with a high-pitched and grating sound. It roughly translates to "Help! Help! Something's happened to Riku!"

She then proceeds to hammer at the keys. Maybe she can talk to trainers this way!]

[Too bad she has huge pincers instead of fingers. Riku's Weavile quickly snatches the 'Gear with a yoooowl, and like the elegant little weasel he is, he at least... tries to form coherent words.]

[That 'Gear is quickly swiped by Riku's Garchomp, who does nothing but ROAR at the others, which translates roughly to "He's dead, you idiots!" That just causes Blade to scream again. An ice beam from Slash knocks him down, and the two begin fighting off-screen. At this point, Flare and Ace the Lucario pop up on screen.]

Rrrrgh. Raaaa? (What a mess. Any ideas, Ace?)

Haaaa. (Just one.)

[She picks up the Gear, then quickly inputs a simple message:]

HELP.

[The closes the 'Gear, and the feed abruptly ends. Those by the beach in Olivine may see a group of Pokémon carting an unconscious Riku around. Sometimes they get in a fight over who gets to carry him around, which keeps them from getting too far.]

[ooc: Respond via action or over the Gear if you wish! Riku's Pokémon will respond either way.]

[oh no oh no oh no - Minnie automatically forgets home building, running straight towards the comatose body.]

[ He sees the message, hears Minnie's distressed cries, and grits his teeth against losing his patience. Leon has an inkling as to where they might find Riku and his merry band, especially after finding Sora there not hours before. As he follows Minnie out of the house, he's hoping it's not what he thinks it is; but once he sees the pokemon fighting for carrying rights, his suspicions are unfortunately confirmed. Two down: he needs to keep an eye on Kairi, then.

He jogs right up to Flare and the others, examining the prone boy in their arms. ]

Is he injured, or just knocked out?

[Flare grunts, pointing to Riku's motionless body. No scratches, no bruises. He looks perfectly fine, save for the fact that he's out cold.]

[Once she's at his side, she tries to touch his cheek, staring right into his eyes.]

His eyes are open... he's breathing, but... Riku! Riku, can you hear me?

He's like Sora from this morning. Come on, we need to get him inside.

[ 'Inside' being...not the gutted-out house. More like the pokemon center, actually. He moves to take Riku into his arms. ]

[Oh. Blade is not too happy about that! She shrieks and holds up her pincers... until Flare pulls her back. Crazy fangirl.]

W-wait!

[Standing up straight, she holds out her hands towards Blade.]

Please, we're Riku's friends... we want to get him inside, where it's safe. You can trust us, Riku means so much to us!

[ Leon opens his mouth to tell Minnie to speak for herself, but then decides that that's probably not the best idea. He knows Flare knows him, though, so he gives the Charizard a nod. Keep Blade in check, please.

He hefts Riku's body up, tucking the boy's head against his collar. At least it's soft and fluffy? ]

We need to get moving, guys. Unless you'd rather we left Riku on the beach.

[Flare nods and gives the others a stern look. Some of them are a bit more unruly (Quake and Blade), but they reluctantly follow.]

[And she follows along, looking at Riku every so often.]

I wonder if its his heart...

[ Leon shakes his head a bit, looking grim. ]

According to the pokedex...it's their souls.

[The others, in turn, look a bit upset. Well, except for Quake. He just growls and snaps his jaw a few times.

Flare especially looks agitated. Why did Riku have to...? Argh.]

[Heart, soul, same diff.]

We simply must find where his soul has gone to. And... and the thief must be punished!

[ Leon looks to Flare, brow arching. ]

That Shedinja couldn't have gone far. Maybe some of you could spread out and look for it?

[Blade shrieks and clamps her pincers. Yes, she must go and avenge her trainer! Yes!

Flare simply shakes his head and spreads out his wings. What good is a steel type going to do against a bug/ghost?]

[She goes quiet for a moment, looking up the bug on her Pokedex.]

... A bug and ghost type...

[She unclicks two Pokeballs from her belt.]

I'll let you have my Magmar and Charizard. They'll listen to you, and they're powerful.. they have strong fire attacks. When you find the thieves, give Magmar and Charizard the orders.

[ Orange's trainer is perfectly fine, and just happens to be a derp who thinks it's a fine idea to let his Pokemon play with the 'gear whenever they want. So it's the Charmeleon who responds, holding the Pokegear shakily in large claws. ]

[And there's a big ol' Charizard on the other end.]

[He sounds a bit grouchy. Mainly because this whole situation is stressful.]

[ Orange just shakes his head, exasperated. ]

[He opens his mouth and prepares to add onto that when a chunk of ice knocks him off-screen. Then a Weavile takes over.]
