Getting all eight badges does nothing. It won't send you back home.

So, to any of you who still buy that bogus rumor, forget it. I have all of them, and all I got was an HM. So, if you're after the badges to go home and just that? Might as well give up.

[He tosses a Pokéball up and down a few times.]

So, with that out of the way, any tips for taming a feral Pokémon? My Aerodactyl's not with me right now, but as soon as I get her back, I think I need to teach her a thing or two. She's not like wild Pokémon; Terror's about ten times worse. She'll attack anything and anyone, barely follows orders, and she's got a bad biting habit.

[The Alakazam in the background blinks a few times; he's next to a Weavile, a Scizor, a Garchomp, and a Skarmory that's currently being chased by a vicious looking Umbreon. After some hissing and growling from the Umbreon, Riku sighs and shuts off the feed.

Feel free to bump into him anywhere around Ecruteak. He'll be going around town with his current roster, probably checking the tower to see how the vandalism clean up's doing, and maybe doing some training.]

Yeah. The Gyms are fine for the HM prizes. Wouldn't have Fly without them.

You should see if Johto has an Elite Four like the old games did. You get to battle 'em after you get all the badges.

There's only eight in Johto. I've been to every city by now, so the only way there'd be more badges is if we head to another region.

Yeah. Beat all eight of them, and it only took about a year.

Anyway, HMs are special attacks that can help you get to places quicker. Surf lets you ride your Pokémon on water, Fly is self-explanatory.

Pretty sure it does. I heard about it from some of the locals, and I plan on taking them on whenever I get the chance.

Anyway, I think the way out's more complicated than taking on the toughest trainers. There's the fact that people randomly disappear and the fact that we still haven't worked out why we're here. Or how.
