[Heartless. Heartless everywhere. Yes, it seems wherever Riku goes there are dark creatures of some kind chasing him around.

It's gotten so bad that he's hanging out on Flare's back as the Charizard shoots bursts of flame at the monsters. This whole thing is being recorded courtesy of Phantom, who cackles as this intense display goes on.

You can find Riku anywhere. Everywhere! For he will be chased by all sorts of nasty Heartless. Help him out? Stop and stare? It's totally your call!]

WHOOOAAAA! [And the kid pretty much latches onto his leg, pointing curiously at the monsters behind him.]

What are those?!

[Give him a second! Flare's gotta swoop down and nail one of the Darksides with Blast Burn.]

I think-- [DODGING] they're Heartless.

[But he's not 100% sure, being from early KH1.]

Heartless...? What do they do?

Feed on hearts, I think.

[More Blast Burn after Flare gets a chance to recharge! Rawr.]

[what's this? bizarre dark creatures chasing and attacking another-- well, some other unrecognizable creature?]

[oh, no. not while he's around, no sir.]

[it's go time.]

[Is that... a Pokémon? Riku and Flare pause momentarily, just to see what Kirby does.]

[ heh heh heh heh heh. ]

You're forgetting to cry for your life! It's always in the movies.

Please. Like I'm going to look like a coward.

[There's some crackling laughter offscreen. Phantom seems to be entertained here! Oh yes.]

Then stop running and do something.

[ pop...corn....... ]

Working on it.

[Hold on, give him a second. Flare's swooping down to nail the Heartless with various fire attacks and the occasional ThunderPunch.]

Oh, flickering blaze-- burn! [ suddenly, giant burst of fire headed for a Heartless! have a grimace. ]

Damn, it's still too weak. [ as she's charging up, she'll be shouting from the roof of this building-- ] Hey, over here!

[Whoa, that's impressive! And once Riku overhears her, he'll direct Flare over towards the roof. Enjoy the seven-foot dragon carrying a teenager.]

Thanks.

[Always good to have some help, after all.]

[ a shake of her head, even as she moves into position again. while the dragon's impressive, she's dealt with larger flying whales. her hands fly. ]

Thank me when it's over. Oh, frozen blades, fly sharply across the heavens--

[ even as icicles fly, she's shifting again. have a look. ] What the hell are these guys?

Heartless. At least, that's what I think they're called.

[He'll hop off of Flare's back, lightening his load and allowing him to fly much quicker. Riku then sends out his Lucario and Scizor to tackle some of the Heartless down below.]

Pikachu, use Thunderbolt! [Yeah he's going to attack those weird Heartless, and help!]

[It's super effective!

...or at least does some pretty solid damage to a few Wyverns. Riku smirks, directing Flare closer to Ash and his Pikachu. Phantom's trailing close behind in all his... enormous glory, at least compared to anime Haunters.]

Not bad, but it's not over yet!

[Flare grunts, shooting a Flamethrower at one of the Darksides, while Phantom aims Hypnosis at some Wyverns.]

I guess it's time to up our game, then! [And he grabs another Pokeball, throwing it in the air, revealing a fire monkey. (http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Infernape_(Pokémon))]

Pikachu, use Volt Tackle! [And the electric rodent starts charging up its electricity from its tail, calling out a "Pi-kaaa! to hit a Wyvern, before Ash gives a dramatic point toward the Darkside, calling out-] And now, Flare Blitz, Infernape!

[So basically both of Ash's Pokemon are going to fire up and start attacking!]

[An Infernape, huh? So this guy's got more than just the Pikachu. Impressive...

Riku hopes off of Flare's back and reaches for three more Pokéballs. A Lucario, Scizor, and Garchomp immediately leap into action.]

Do whatever it takes to beat them.

[No specific attack commands, just a simple order. Up above, Flare's unleashing a powerful Rock Slide at the sleeping wyverns, and Draco Meteors fire down from above, courtesy of Quake. If there's one thing Riku's taught his team, it's how to put on a good show.]

[Ash too is a bit impressed. He didn't expect someone in Johto to have a Lucario, especially since those were ridiculously rare.

However, he does have a feeling that beating these dark creatures were important, so-]

Pikachu, Quick Attack! And Infernape, use Mach Punch! [And both of them, with their impressive speed quickly jolt into action, hitting almost six wyverns in a single shot, while Infernape's hands glow to knock out some Darksides. He immediately grits his teeth before taking out another Pokeball, throwing it into the air.]

Torterra, we're gonna need you, too! Now— Energy Ball!

[And Torterra's leaves grow brightly, almost sparkling before a small green ball starts appearing, ready to hit any opponents in its way.]

Heh, not bad.

[A Torterra too. What else does this kid have up his sleeve? Well, no matter.

He turns towards Ace the Lucario, who blasts some Aura Spheres at a group of Invisibles and Darkballs. Giving her a brief thumbs-up, he looks at the last Pokéball on his belt.

Well, desperate times call for desperate measures. Out comes his Aerodactyl with a loud...]

[Normally Terror would try and attack Riku or his team, but she sees those Heartless and bares all her teeth, taking a dive at a Darkside.

With the combined force of all these Pokémon, these Heartless won't last very long.]

[Ash flinches a bit when he sees the Aerodactyl, if only because of the lingering memory of being kidnapped by one. He gives an awkward laugh at it before his face goes back into serious mode, telling his team:]

You guys are doing great! Keep it up! [And then a sly smirk slides across his face. It's a familiar one, and it's the one that he uses when he has a plan.]

Pikachu, let's continue with a counter shield! [And Pikachu immediately knows what to do, sliding on the ground before spinning, having electricity attack to not only protect itself, but to attack as well, just like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0qGp8_kdjWw).]

And Infernape, use Dig!

[And Infernape makes several holes for some of the Heartless to fall into, before Ash calls another move for the flaming monkey-] And now that you're underground, Flare Blitz! [Watch out, because underground areas are now going to be on fire. Just as planned. Now for Torterra.]

Energy Ball again! But this time, eat it so you can power up, and then Leaf Storm! [And Torterra does so, creating another green ball to eat it, making Torterra's leaves glow even more. And then, cue all the leaves. And the storm.

Nobody messes with Ash. Not even Heartless.]

[ Heartless! Attacking her friend! Xion summons her Keyblade and concentrates before firing off a volley of Ragnarok towards the Heartless surrounding Riku.

She's being quiet for now, searching for more and keeping herself under her cloak. ]

[Whoa, that? Was impressive. So impressive Riku's gonna follow her closely.]

That you, Xion?

[It's just a guess, due to the cloak.]

[ Xion stops and turns and nods slowly. ]

Are you okay, Riku?

[He nods.]

Don't worry about it. There might be a ton of these Heartless, but we can handle it.

[Flare grunts, giving Xion the Charizard equivalent of a thumbs-up.]

[ Tiny smile underneath the hood... and then a Heartless tries to flank her from behind.

She whirls around and takes it out with one slash of her Keyblade, followed by a Firaga spell to another. ]

Still... we need to find you a safe place.

Hey, I can handle this.

[C'mon, he's got Flare, Phantom, and the rest of his team on standby. They're probably not too far, actually.]

[ She looks around. ]

Your Pokemon are.

[Is that a giant shuriken flying through the air?

Screw using Pokemon! Yuffie's turning this into a good ol' fashioned brawl.]

[Wow, that's pretty hardcore! Time to swoop down and get a closer look.

Heck, Riku'll call out Ace and Blade to bring on the hurt. Hopefully Yuffie won't mind a Lucario and Scizor bashing some Heartless alongside her!]

[Heartless? What Heartless? The one he just decimated in 10 seconds flat of ninja spinning, kicking and hitting?]

[...Okay. That? Was hardcore. Looks like Riku and Flare need to step their game up, so they dive straight at two of the wyverns, nailing them with Rock Slide.]

[Pshaw, there's no time for this shenanigans.

[HOLY CRAP...

Wow, yeah. That? Totally impressive. Riku's kinda floored here.]

[Silver hair, dealing with "shades"... There's a moment of mistaken identity when this book hovers up and manages to keep up with the flaming red .... dragon??]

There you are, I was starting to think you were just as lost as the others. What are you wearing, is my first question. [HEY RIKU, SURPRISED BY A FLOATING, TALKING BOOK? Be more surprised when it opens and some pages flip, causing giant shadow hands to reach and sucker punch a few of those heartless into black splats.]

[...Uh, wow. Okay, is he dreaming? Riku rubs his eyes, staring for a few moments while he tries to wrap his head around this book.]

Who're you supposed to be?

[Hey, Riku. Hope you don't mind this girl running on into the mass of heartless and doing some crazy laughing while slice and dicing them down like a lawnmower.

It's almost a good thing they reform so quickly from how fast she's curb-stomping with her twin swords. And heels.

Brb a big one requires her jumping up and -- hey, that flying dragon thing seems like a good place to land -- Riku winds up with Kaine standing behind him.]

[Okay, what? Why the heck did that lady just-- what is she doing?

Flare groans, and Riku raises a brow, looking over his shoulder.]

What are you dong?

Looks like you could use some help.

[He could actually help, but nah, watching this from a few towns away is more entertaining.]

I've got it covered.

[His tone's a bit sharp, as he and Flare tackle some Invisibles.]

You sure about that? Looks more like your pet has it covered.
