44 - video/action for groupmates;
[The feed clicks on inside a bedroom of some kind. There's a shiny Charmander wriggling around in the background, trying to hide under a pillow. Pay her no mind for now. Riku, in the mean time, faces the camera with a slightly deadpan look.]
Okay, since the data version of me came back, I figured it's time to do a little PSA. Basically, if you see two guys who look like younger versions of me, don't freak out. They aren't me. They're just based on me. One of them goes by Evan, and the other's got a black coat and took up the name Rin, I guess.
Also, since this is a newbie wave, I went ahead and updated my Training Guide, including a new section on Pokémon care. It also covers the basic questions most newbies toss around and some Pokémon recs. Like Toxicroak. I'm seriously surprised at how scarce they are.
[He shrugs.]
And don't forget to check out the Pokémon Rental Service if you need a quick trip to the next town. Newbies get a reduced price, since you guys are short on funds as it is.
[Okay, advertising's done. Now he can toss something up for the old crowd...]
And to wrap things up, I've got two questions for you. First, how do you decide to nickname your Pokémon? Or if you don't... why the heck don't you? I never got the point in referring to them by species when they're all individuals.
As for the other question... Do you think it's necessary to be friends with all your Pokémon? Even if said Pokémon is vicious, bloodthirsty, and only cares about fighting?
[And with that, he'll click off the feed. Well, after throwing up two private messages and slapping on the following attachments...]

So, how many of you guys are here yet? And Lightning, do you think there'd be time to swing by Celadon a few times just to check in on my business? I'm fine with camping out here for as long as it takes. If anything, it'd just be day trips.
By the way, I'm willing to volunteer some Pokémon for the raid when it happens. A friend of mine also offered his Koffing and Crobat for added smoke support.
Private to Ven;
Hey. You busy right now?

[Heh.]
Anyway, Breeders don't have to battle, but it's still a good idea to get in the practice of it. A stronger Pokémon means safer travel and better egg moves whenever you get around to breeding. Plus, a larger Pokémon might cut back on travel time. For example...
[He turns the camera on that Charmander, who pokes her face out from under the pillow.]
Cinder here's a Charmander right now, but when she evolves, she'll look more like...
[Annnd turning the camera on his big ol' Charizard.]
This.
video;
They...don't all grow that big, do they? [ he looks off to the side of the screen, where Yoonjae is. He's just imagining her growing into a larger ball with chicken feet, sorry. ]
How do you take care of something that big? [ he is not qualified to raise dragons. ]
video;
[Flare nods, stretching his wings and scratching his neck.]
Besides, I have almost fifty Pokémon, and some of them are even bigger than him. I'd say he's the least of my problems.
[He snickers.]
video;
Fifty. [ he owned a dog for less than three days. he does not feel up to the task. ] I think it might be best for me to just focus on the one for now.
video;
[Granted, he stuck with just three for his first few months, so it's not impossible.]
video;
I don't know much about this place [ and he honestly hopes he's not stuck here. so there's also the concern of what happens to the pokémon when he leaves. ] so I don't think it'd be responsible of me to pick up living animals without knowing that I can care for them.
video;
The thing with Pokémon is that they're really resilient, and you don't have to keep them out at all times, thanks to the Pokéballs.
video;
video;
[Granted, he lets even his big guys out of their balls almost constantly, so...]
Re: video;
[ he really likes having Yoonjae close anyways, makes him feel a touch less lost and amoung strangers. ]
Thank you, I've been bothering you about so many of these little things. [ which is to say he is thankful but...actually taking that advice may take some time to wrap his head around the idea. ]
