[Well, he probably should've seen this coming. After last year's turn out, it's no wonder Clair opted for another prom. And, well, after getting nailed on the head by at least three of those invite balls, Riku appears onscreen in what looks like a kitchen, leaning back against a counter.]

So, I know everyone's getting amped up for the prom, and I can't really blame you guys. Tohjo's a pretty sweet resort, but something about it still bugs me. That place is supposed to to be the Elite Four's private getaway, and we haven't even seen them over the past few years, let alone heard from them.

[He narrows his eyes, shifting his position against the counter.]

Gotta wonder what their deal is. Supposedly, they're the toughest trainers out there, but ever since I came here, they've been MIA. No challenges and no explanation, but the locals talk about them like they're these big-time celebrities.

[He waves one of his hands.]

Maybe this year will be different. Beats me, but I guess if anyone wants to hang out during the party, we can work something out. That's what parties are for, right? Not fussing over battles that might not even happen...

[Sigh. With that all said, he'll switch to a private channel.]

Heads up. I know the timing's kind of bad, I figure we won't have a better chance then this. Sometime during the party, we need to meet up and touch base. It's been a while since the incident down in Olivine, but I doubt the Rockets will stay quiet for long.

If you're worried about getting caught, don't be: the place is huge, and I'm sure almost everyone will be too busy with the party to consider tracking us down. But just for added security, we can pick a secluded spot and talk there.

[Riku smirks for a couple of seconds, tipping his chin up and folding his arms, but then his expression softens.]

...But I guess it'll be different this year, huh? Since we're, well. You know.

[Which is kind of funny to think about. How's it even gonna work? After all, the last thing Riku wants is to leave Kairi feeling awkward or out of place.]

[ Sora rolls his eyes. at first. then he gives a little chuckle, still getting used to the idea. ]

Are you saying this Prom thing is going to be our first date?

[ grins and winks. ]

Or do I have to save a dance for you?

[...That probably sounded stupid. No, scratch that. It definitely sounded stupid.]

Might as well, right? Sure, it's not that walk on the beach you asked for, but it's still a good warm up.

[Though before Sora starts teasing him about princesses again, Riku leans forward and adds:]

Just don't expect me to wear a dress for your sake.

[ aww. his teasing doesn't have an effect. that's... that's actually a good thing, right? ]

No dresses.

[ pause. then a wince. ]

Do I gotta wear a suit this year?

Knowing Clair? Probably.

[Riku grumbles and sneers at the thought. Don't worry, Sora; he's not too pleased about it, either.]

If not a suit, then definitely something classy. Think you can handle it?

Really? That's news to me. I mean, balloon shorts and clown shoes don't exactly scream "class".

Hey, the half-gloves are cool and you know it. Besides, my shoes aren't bright yellow.

[Riku flicks one of his hands, like it's no big deal. Like Sora's words totally don't faze him.

Good thing I'm not dating you for your good looks. 'Cause I might have bright yellow shoes, but you have that bright yellow shirt and those pants.

Tell me, Riku... How do you even keep them up?

It's... probably a good thing Riku's just wearing jeans right now. At least he's got some dignity, but the fact still remains tht Sora called his waders into question.

But no big deal. He can handle this. Snorting, he throws his shoulders back and crosses his arms.]

[ folds his arms over his chest. POUTS. SO MANY MUCH POUTING.

stomping over to Riku. looking UP at Riku. and menacing oh so menacing. aren't you curious about what he is going to do? ]

[Sora, what even? Riku tilts his head, arches his brow, and watches. What's he trying to do, use Leer?]

It's not very effective...

[ well THAT changes Sora's expression. from scowling puppy to blinking owl. then he laughs. ]

That was really bad. But I have something that's super effective.

Oh yeah?

[And watch as Riku evolves into a grinning Cheshire Cat.]

I'd like to see that.

[ yeah well. gonna change that grinning of Riku's here in a minute.

by grabbing onto Riku's face and yanking him down for... you guessed it. kissing. ]

[ now he's just gonna put his hands behind his head. turn on a heel and start strutting off. ]

[When Sora kisses him, Riku lets out a muffled gasp, like a yelp crossed with a gasp. Hardly flattering, and definitely not romantic. When Sora lets go, his face crinkles up like a raisin. He raises his index finger, tries to think up a response... and then Sora struts off.

So what does Riku do? Rush right after him. Better think fast, Sora, or you may end up tackled by this muscle tree.]

[ NOPE! SORRY! TOO BUSY BASKING IN HIS VICTOLI. ]

[Then you better watch out. You better not cry. You better not pout, and here's why:

Because Riku's gonna just... slam into Sora, pinning him to the floor like the doofus that he is.]

[ squirming and trying to push the other guy off. Bd c'mon! let him up! ]
