17 - video/action for Azalea;

[It's been a stressful week for Riku. Between his unruly Gible causing trouble for his older Pokémon and Sora falling into a deep sleep, there's really been no end to the madness. He also got yet another new Pokémon egg. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it means he's had to train another monster from square one, rather than focusing his efforts on his stronger team members.

And given that he can't exactly leave town yet, Riku's opted to hang out around the Inn with his Nidoking by his side. The two are propped up against the front of the building, and the camera shakes a little as it records the duo.

Riku rolls his eyes.]

Knock it off, Phantom. You don't need to record this.

[The feed turns upside down for a split second, and Riku groans. The things he puts up with.]

Well, better this than those pranks of yours, especially at this hour.

[Oh, but pranks are so much fun! And he's got quite a few ideas of how to paint the town red... Of course, that'll have to wait. And why?

Because, up above, there's a horrifying shriek, as a Pokémon dives down from the sky.]


Gyaaaaaaarr!

[Riku steps back, eyes wide, while Slacker screams. Why? Well, as shown by the lovely footage Phantom's displaying here, the Aerodactyl's got a limp pidgey in her mouth.

Riku quickly rushes up to the baby Pokémon, trying to knock the bird from her mouth. Slacker joins the Fray, charging head-first towards the 'dactyl. However, she's a flying type, and she manages to dodge both of them. The two crash into one another and land on their rumps. Meanwhile, the Aerodactyl swallows the Pidgey whole. At this point, Phantom's got an extreme closeup.

The feed ends with the Aerodactyl spitting out the feathery remains, followed by Phantom's shrill laughter.]

[When the feed picks up again, Riku and Phantom are fighting for control of the 'Gear. That horrible screaming from the Aerodactyl continues as she circles overhead.

Then, Phantom slaps Riku in the face and slides back, dropping one of the feathers on Riku's head.

It's only when he puts Phantom back in his ball that Riku regains control of the situation.

And then he sighs.]

I have not actually witnessed pokémon devouring each other, even if the thought occurred to me that it's possible.

Apparently it's called an Aerodactyl.

Aerodactyl. A ferocious, prehistoric POKéMON that goes for the enemy's throat with its serrated saw-like fangs.

She'll be pretty useful once I train her up a bit. Problem is, she's a real handful right now.

[ it's been awhile since Kairi was genuinely upset, if you don't count... well, you know, panicking over Sora not waking up. She's been staying by his side constantly, but the shriek from outside coupled with the knowledge that Riku's out there has her scrambling to her feet and dashing out; Sora will have to be watched over by a very capable Togetic temporarily. ]

Riku, are you--?!

[ and then she stops. And stares, hands pressed to her mouth. Because she was unfortunate enough to get there just in time for the Aerodactyl to swallow that Pidgey. As if sensing his trainer's distress, Charming's tail whips back and forth in a fury and he outright hisses at the flying dinosaur. ]

[And, seeing as Charming is a tiny, fuzzy thing, Terror quickly dives at him with her mouth open wide. More food!

Fortunately, Riku does get a decent grip on her tail, but she's still trying to attack. Food, tiny food!]

[ oh no you don't. Kairi might not be all that fond of keeping her Pokémon in Pokéballs, but when there's something trying to eat them-- yeah, well, no. She's calling the Eevee back and giving Terror a sharp glare. ]

[She snaps her jaws and beats her wings, trying to squirm free of Riku's grip. Fortunately, she's only about three feet in size, given that she's still a hatchling.]

[When Riku finally responds, it looks like the sitution's under control... for the most part. The wonderful thing about level 100s is that, regardless of type, they can take out weaker Pokémon easily.

Actually, she's rock/flying. She sure could pass as a dragon, though.
