[It's been a stressful week for Riku. Between his unruly Gible causing trouble for his older Pokémon and Sora falling into a deep sleep, there's really been no end to the madness. He also got yet another new Pokémon egg. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it means he's had to train another monster from square one, rather than focusing his efforts on his stronger team members.

And given that he can't exactly leave town yet, Riku's opted to hang out around the Inn with his Nidoking by his side. The two are propped up against the front of the building, and the camera shakes a little as it records the duo.

Riku rolls his eyes.]

Knock it off, Phantom. You don't need to record this.

[The feed turns upside down for a split second, and Riku groans. The things he puts up with.]

Well, better this than those pranks of yours, especially at this hour.

[Oh, but pranks are so much fun! And he's got quite a few ideas of how to paint the town red... Of course, that'll have to wait. And why?

Because, up above, there's a horrifying shriek, as a Pokémon dives down from the sky.]

Gyaaaaaaarr!

[Riku steps back, eyes wide, while Slacker screams. Why? Well, as shown by the lovely footage Phantom's displaying here, the Aerodactyl's got a limp pidgey in her mouth.

Riku quickly rushes up to the baby Pokémon, trying to knock the bird from her mouth. Slacker joins the Fray, charging head-first towards the 'dactyl. However, she's a flying type, and she manages to dodge both of them. The two crash into one another and land on their rumps. Meanwhile, the Aerodactyl swallows the Pidgey whole. At this point, Phantom's got an extreme closeup.

The feed ends with the Aerodactyl spitting out the feathery remains, followed by Phantom's shrill laughter.]

Y-Y-Your Pokemon just devoured that poor Pidgey....!!

[Sigh.]

Yeah, I know. Terror's... kind of a handful.

[Hence the nickname.]

But according to the Pokédex, it's natural for her. Doesn't make it any better, though.

Now I understand the meaning behind the nickname... Um, I've never seen a Pokemon like that one before. I'm assuming it's another dragon type?

Actually, she's rock/flying. She sure could pass as a dragon, though.

And you rarely see Pokemon eating other Pokemon...

Well, I'm sure they still could. I've got a lot of them that could pass for carnivores... They've just got more restraint.

Mm... That's true. I almost forget that they're still animals at heart here.

Yeah. That's why I let my birds hunt down bugs and fish. Forcing them to eat berries all the time has to be rough on them.

It's good thinking. A Pokemon's meal has to be balanced with meats too!

That's the thing. Terror won't eat anything but meat. So... this could get pretty messy.

[Plus it could screw with the balance of predator and prey when it comes to wild Pokémon.]

Are you seriously keeping that in your party?

Are you kidding? Once I train her up a bit, she's bound to come in handy. Speedy and strong... How could I turn that down?

Maybe the fact that she could devour bird Pokemon in the middle of battles?

It's just part of what she is. Besides, she usually beats them first.

[He shrugs.]

Pidgeys eat bug Pokémon all the time. How's this any different?

Once again, I'm starting to realize how horribly realistic the Pokemon world really is...

Now that I think about it... It's almost like how things were back home!

The only difference is that Pokémon can spit fire and put you to sleep.

[Just to name a few examples.]

There were people who could do things like that back where I was from too!

Point made. Still, compared to regular animals, Pokémon are in a league of their own.

Would you want to take any of your team back home with you?

Like you had to ask.

Thing is, I've got no plans to go back. Not any time soon.

What? You don't want to come back home?

Why should I? My world's small and more like a prison than anything else.

I'd rather be free and see the rest of this world. Besides, my friends and I were planning to leave anyway.

Like a prison, huh...?

I can understand your feelings if you really are curious about traveling out! To be honest, this world is a lot more refreshing than my old one.

A prison surrounded by water. It's just so small, and there's not much to do there.

Anyway, at least Johto's a huge continent. There's still a lot I want see.

... Don't people call those islands?

Who knows. There could be a lot more beyond Johto too. The sky's the limit.
