[When the feed starts up, it's upside-down, but there's a clear shot of a very angry Riku standing next to a large pile of exhausted Pokémon including a very large Charizard, Feraligatr, Nidoking, Scizor, Lucario, and a Rotom, which manages to float over to the Gear and slowly lift it up.

Riku, however, looks less than impressed.]

Get back up! You can't just sit there.

[The Pokémon groan and shift a little, but alas, they're just too exhausted to keep going.]

C'mon. You're going to keep fighting, you got that? I don't care how tired you are.

[There's a sad sounding vrrrrrm from Surge, who hovers over to Riku.]

See? If Surge can do it, so can--

[Aaaand then the Gear falls. Looks like even Surge didn't have the energy to keep going.]

Can't believe this...

[After a moment, he scoops up the Gear and shuts it off. Those in Olivine are free to see this unpleasant display. A little while after his defeat, Riku's going to be working his team incredibly hard, putting them up against each other.

Someone's a sore loser, to say the least.]

[Well here's a very concerned derp and his tiny Pikachu, moseying over with a couple of large bags of what is no doubt food. Whenever work ends in the evening, he likes to bring something back to Disney House]

Riku, if you wear them out, they won't be up to training later...

[ Lionbutt here is standing on the other end of their makeshift 'arena', looking less than impressed with Riku's display. All of his fainted fighters are back in their pokeballs. The sand between them is glassy and melted from the heat of Flare and Lucky's fire, and his boots tchak-tchak-tchak across it. ]

Give it up, Riku, you lost. Now you can sit here complaining, or you can come to the pokemon center with me.

Push anything too hard, and you can break'em; a human that doesn't take care of things like needin' rest and food can get permanent injuries from it, an' as tough as the pokémon are, they're livin' things.

Hey, don't you think you're being a little too rough? Your Pokémon look pretty exhausted.

Give them a break, will you?

They need to rest every once in awhile, aru. Pushing them too hard will actually ruin their health and go in the complete opposite direction of your goals.

You should not push your Pokémon quite so hard.

[Sometime after he'd started working his team again, there would be footsteps coming up behind Riku before Lightning spoke, watching them work before frowning.]

You really think pushing them like this is going to help?

[He’s not immediately sure what to think. It’s just Riku and his pokemon, and in comparison to the liveliness shown at the beach, they look battered. Completely run down.]

[Riku’s pushing them too hard, and his callous words just make it worse. He knows, personally, what it’s like to be on the end of Riku’s bad books, to be belittled like that. So at first it’s really hard to know what to say.]
