[The feed begins with a rather unusual shot. Namely, the tail end of a very black Charizard... squeezing herself underneath a bed. Or rather, trying and failing miserably.

There's an exasperated sigh as the camera turns to Riku.]

Anyone got tips for dealing with a Pokémon that has serious self-esteem issues? Cinder's always been timid, but ever since she's evolved, she's been trying to bury herself under my bed. And no amount of talking to her's convinced her to get out.

Grooogh... Grrarrghhhh!

[That'd be said Charizard, squirming, tail thumping against the floor. No, she doesn't wanna come out! Now she looks even less like Flare than before, and that's bad!

Riku promptly slaps his palm over his face. There's some chuckling from off camera soon after.]

I cood try and find Frrrr... Fyyy... Sigh, Farare, I suppose. We did have urgent business, anyway.

Yeah. I was getting there.

[Turning the camera away from the bed, the cameramon follows Riku closer to the doorway.]

So, while I wait for Flare to get his butt over here, there's something else I need to talk about. Well, me and my team. See, the other day, they up and decided that they want to be responsible parents. So, if you've ever bought an egg from me, could you at least tell me how the Pokémon are doing? If you can bring them on camera, even better.

After one of Flare's eggs hatched small, I just want to check in. Not just because of health, either; I'd love to hear how they're doing, period.

[And with that, he ends the feed. Time to try dragging out a seven-foot dragon before she breaks his bed... Sigh.]

[John chuckles a little bit but says nothing other than that, allowing Michael J. to have full control of the gear.]

[He yips curiously, tilting his head a little. Mamma? Are you his real mamma?]

[Mirage nods, rubbing her front paws together. Yes, good to see you recognize her.]

...You know, I could probably grab Slash for good measure. He's, uh... the father.

[Yap yap yap! Bark! Wagging his tail, Michael J. immediately starts licking the screen excitedly. He won't mention the fact that Mirage is the only adult of his species that he's seen and therefore it wasn't so much recognition as it was guesswork on his part. Shhh...he totally knows his mama by sight. Yes.]

Ew gross, Michael J., come on! I know you're excited to meet your mom and everything but do you really have to? [The screen goes entirely purple for a moment as John wipes it off on the sleeve of his Gengar hoodie.] There. That's better.

[No it's still kind of smudgy...]

Anyway is that a bad thing? Slash being the dad I mean? You kinda...paused.

Nah. It's just kind of an odd combo, not to mention Slash talks... for the most part.

[And cue an indignant huff off camera.]

Awrrlways! Never fayaring! I must continue my pursuit with endless persistence, thank you very much.

Ah, gotcha. I'm actually kind of glad to hear that. The talking thing. Maybe that means Michael J. will have an easier time learning how to do it. Since his dad can and all.

Wait, has he been trying to or something?

[Oh, this is interesting. After all, he hasn't encountered too many Pokémon with a desire to speak.]

Oh no, not just yet. He's still working on human morphing right now. He has Pokemon down pat, but for some reason humans are still giving him a little trouble. But yeah, it's something I would eventually like to try and teach him how to do.

[Because what's the point of having a Pokemon that can morph into a human but will be given away the moment it opens its mouth?]

Well, if he's up to it, I don't see the harm in it. Just expect it to be a long, tedious task. Slash has been at it for almost a year now.

[And cue a nod from said Weavile.]

And to think it hasn't been tried before!

[To his knowledge, anyway.]

Oh I figured. I've been trying to teach my Ditto for a few months now but it's been a kind of interrupted, on-and-off process so I haven't had made any real progress worth mentioning yet. I'll probably focus on her lessons more after I get the last of my badges.

[He chuckles a bit.]

Gotta say though, Slash is really good at it. What's your secret?
